Well I currently have 11 books checked out from the library and have not read any of them so this reading recap is going to be pretty short. I did read a couple books last month:
I Can’t Make This Up – Kevin Hart
I saw Kevin Hart perform in NYC a couple years ago. I think he is hilarious. I have also watched some of his stand-up and movies so when I heard about this book, I couldn’t wait to read it. It did not disappoint! Basically the chronological story of his life – from growing up poor to getting to where he is now. It was really interesting to read about all he went through in order to become well-known in the comedy world and parts of it were ridiculous and hilarious, as you would expect. I definitely recommend this book and now I am going to watch his stand-up and movies again because it’s been too long.
The Self-Love Experiment
I am a big fan of Shannon Kaiser and I have read some of her other books. (I also want to attend one of her retreats – hopefully next year!). While this wasn’t my favorite of her books, it did have some good quotes and takeaways I could relate to. Essentially a book on how to become your best self in order to achieve overall joy and success in all aspects of life.
Have you read any good books lately?
