You guys, I think podcasts are taking over my life! I have never really been one to listen to podcasts before and honestly, I didn’t know HOW to listen to podcasts but now a whole new world has been opened up to me!
First off, I am SO EXCITED to share with you that I was listed as one of the 50 Best Women’s Running Blogs!!~!! Such an awesome list of running bloggers, including some I already read regularly and love!
Because of this list, Tina Muir, elite runner and host of Runner’s Connect podcast, reached out to me and told me about her podcast. And I have been listening to it almost nonstop! It motivates me to go for a run/walk just so I can listen to more! I even listened to it the other night while doing the dishes that I had been avoiding and it made that task much more bearable!
Then, I saw Jen @ Pretty Little Grub’s post with podcast recommendations and I subscribed to all of them! She was also gracious enough to inform me that there is a Podcast app on the iPhone and that is how I can listen to them. Thank you!
I should admit that part of my new obsession with podcasts is probably my OCD-like tendencies. I have a really hard time just listening to one episode if there’s a whole series or watching one TV episode or watching a TV episode out of order, etc. Seriously, this is why I continue to watch Grey’s Anatomy even when some of the seasons were not so great. I hate not seeing things through to the finish!
One of my grad school friends told me she would allow herself to watch 10-20 minutes of a TV episode before she went back to studying or whatever she needed to do. This is unfathomable to me! I literally watched all of Parenthood Season One in one day – laid in bed for like 12 hours on a binge. In fact, my computer started acting weird shortly after so I took it into the Apple store and the employee asked me if I did anything unusual and I admitted I watched 12 hours of Netflix in one sitting. He laughed and said it is not uncommon!
So, along with Runner’s Connect podcast and the great recommendations from Jen, I found some more articles with podcast recommendations:
