I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I went back home to Indiana and spent time with friends and family.
For Thanksgiving day, I participated in #planksgiving and did my first ever Boomerang!
Gobble Wobble Pizza
We ate at Azzip Pizza, a local pizza shop that allows you to make your own personal pizza and they make it right in front of you (Subway-like). They had a monthly special, the Gobble Wobble, and I had to try it!
It didn’t sound that good but it was actually really good!
Turkey Trot 5k
On Thanksgiving day, we participated in the annual Turkey Trot 5k. This was my 3rd year doing the race in Evansville and my 4th year doing the Turkey Trot (I did one in Utah in 2013).
I ran into Becky, a friend of mine that does not live in Evansville, but who I run into frequently there. She came up behind me a little after mile 2 of the race and I had to pick up the pace to keep up with her for the final mile. Thanks Becky for the push!
I was so excited The RunChat posted their 2016 Holiday #RunChatHunt items so I was able to start checking some off the list. Here’s a list of the 12 items to find and post on Twitter:
I got a race start line at the Turkey Trot:
I found a runner sticker on a vehicle:
And I got the easiest one on the list – my running shoes:
I love these fun social media challenges!
We watched my nephew Mason, who is a little over 2 years old, for most of the day on Friday. He is so adorable and fun to play with. He was even warming up to my sister’s dog and was learning to pet him nicely:
