It’s Thursday and I am linking up with the Thinking Out Loud linkup.
Graze Snack Box
I tried out Graze snack boxes the other week. They offer different size variety boxes as well as different delivery options (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.). You can go through their snacks online and select your preferences – if you love something, hate it, etc. so they can customize your snack boxes to you likes. I had a coupon for a free Graze box so I tried it out. I liked being able to select my flavors but still getting the surprise of what snacks they send. The snacks come in portioned out containers, to help you from overindulging. I like the idea and the snacks were good, but right now I am not wanting to pay for a snack delivery service.
You might already know that I have a lot of pet peeves. Well paying to park is just about at the top of the list! Now living in Nashville, I really hate when I have to pay to park when I am meeting someone, going to a workout class, etc. If the weather isn’t terrible, I will drive around looking for free street parking even if it is farther away.
After reading You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero, I asked for the day-by-day calendar for Christmas. The other day read this and I loved it:
Question – Napping
I overheard two employees at the library talking. One asked, “if you were allowed to nap at work, would you be able to actually sleep?” Then they went on to discuss that it depends on the options – did you have a quiet, private room to sleep in? I thought this was funny. I definitely would not be able to sleep at work unless I was really exhausted (such as when I almost fell asleep standing up on a subway in NYC). I am a very light sleeper and I have a hard time falling asleep in general. I am also not a good napper – I need like a 4 hour window to take a nap – 1 hour to fall asleep, 2 hours of sleep, 1 hour to wake up. So I just prefer to power through and go to bed early!
Let’s talk Food!
I realized the other day that since moving to Nashville 3 months ago I had not been to Mellow Mushroom and had a Mighty Meaty! It’s like my fav thing ever (although definitely not regularly because well it’s 5 types of meat on top of a pizza). So I had one and it was delicious as ever!
Also the other weekend we tested out the new Grilled Cheeserie in Nashville. I love grilled cheese. Back home, I worked at an ice cream and sandwich shop in high school and college that had the best grilled cheese and it was nothing fancy – just cheese on super thick bread. Then when I lived in Utah, I discovered The Melty Way, which was amazing!! I took all my visitors there. Now, in Nashville, the Grilled Cheeserie is open and I was excited to try it! I had the Harvest Melt – brie cheese, turkey, maple roasted butternut squash and pumpkin seed pesto. It was really good!
That’s all for today, folks! Have a happy Thursday!
